Cappelletto Gabriele
GABRIELE CAPPELLETTO graduated with honors from the Conservatorio "G. Verdi" in Milan in Percussion Instruments under the guidance of Maestros Franco Campioni and Andrea Dulbecco.
He specialized in Timpani under the guidance of Maestro Antonio Catone. During his years of study at the Conservatory, he has an intense concert activity with chamber groups and with the Trio Percussionists of Milan.
He has played as Timpanist and Percussionist with famous conductors such as Riccardo Muti, Lorin Maazel, Daniele Gatti, Carlo Maria Giulini, Gorge Prètre, Myung-Whun Chung, Yuri Temirkanov, Riccardo Chailly, Nello Santi, Daniel Oren, Mstislav Rostropovich, Wayne Marshall, Pinchas Steinberg, James Conlon, Antonio Pappano in the following orchestras: Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Symphony Orchestra "G. Verdi" of Milan, Orchestra Symphonica Toscanini, Orchestra Sinfonica della RAI of Milan, Orchestra dei Pomeriggi Musicali of Milan, Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale "S.Cecilia" of Rome, Gran Teatro "La Fenice" of Venice, Teatro "San Carlo" of Naples, Camerata Strumentale of Pratro, Ente Lirico "G. P. Da Palestrina" of Cagliari, Human Rights Orchestra and Interregionales Sinfonie Orchestre of Baden-Wurttemberg (Germany) where he won a scholarship donated by the Minister of Cultural Heritage of the German government as the best orchestral component.
He has won numerous competitions as a solo percussionist such as 1st National Competition "Bucci" city of Brugherio, 4th Competition organized by the Humanitarian Society of Milan and competition organized by SIAE and the Conservatory of Music "S.Cecilia" in Rome.
He collaborates with the percussion group Tetraktis from Perugia.
He is timpanist of the brass group of the Sistine Chapel choir.
Lecturer in various courses and masterclasses for the deepening of the Lyric and Symphonic repertoire he was also from 2007 to 2015 lecturer of the "F. Fenaroli" International Courses of High Orchestral Improvement in the city of Lanciano and of the orchestral courses organized by Viterbo Arte Musica.
Since 2017 he has been a member of the commission for the Italian selections of the EUYO Orchestra.
He has been a teacher at the percussion instruments class at the "Briccialdi" Conservatory in Terni and is currently a teacher at the "U. Giordano" Conservatory in Foggia.
Since 2001 (competition winner) he has been 1st Timpanist at the Orchestra of the Fondazione Teatro dell'Opera in Rome.
