Dectet
The brass dectet is composed by all professional musicians who conducts many concerts not only with the brass group Pentaphon, but also as soloist and as first parts, in orchestras and institutional music band.
The dectet has been collaborating for many years with the "Musical Chapel Pontifical Sistine" and it has participated to the most solemn celebrations presided over the Holy Father.
In 2014, they pressed for the "Libreria Editrice Vaticana" and for "Deutsche Grammophon".
The brass group conducts many concerts in Italy, meeting a great approval from the specialized critics, in particular they are appreciate for the interpretation of "double chorus" or "hammer chorus".
The executive routine of pieces of the Renaissance is brought at its maximum vertex by Giovanni e Andrea Gabrieli. The element which characterizes this genre of music is that two semi-chorus not only alternate in different ways and measures, but they also intersect and overlap, giving life to a musical dialogue, highlighted by the dynamics. To have a more stereophonic effect, the two chorus are put in a certain distance.
This is one of the most suggestive effects that you can feel listening to the brass group in Saint Peter's Basilica.
