Del Monte Samuele

 

Born in Rome in 1998, Samuele Del Monte inherited his passion for the trumpet from his father.
He began his studies aged 10, and graduated from the Conservatorio "Licinio Refice" in Frosinone (Italy) in October 2017 with highest marks, presenting an essay on repertoire by Honegger, Desenclos, and Böhme, which he subsequently performed.
in January 2023 he completed the "Master Performance in Classical Music" at the HKB (Hochschule der Künste Bern) with Giuliano Sommerhalder.
Furthermore, he participated in several masterclasses with artists such as Omar Tomasoni, Martin Angerer, Stefan Haimel, Marco Pierobon, Manu Mellaerts, Benny Wiame, etc…
In 2011 he won the First Prize at the Magliano Sabina Chamber Music Competition. 
As a 2nd Prize winner of the National Competition "Premio Abbado" in 2015, he performed a number of concerts with the Orchestra Nazionale dei Conservatori d'Italia in Udine, Trieste, Novi Sad, Belgrade and Rome.
In 2017 he took part at the finals of the 1st "Girolamo Fantini" International Trumpet Competition in Rome, carrying off a scholarship.
He has collaborated with important orchestras such as the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, Accademia Nazionale Santa Cecilia, Orchestra Teatro dell'Opera of Rome, Mantova Chamber Orchestra, Orchestra Sinfonica Abbruzzese.
As a soloist in a trumpet and piano duo, he took part in a number of series for young talents, performing some of the most important works of the trumpet repertoire, such as those by Haydn, Jolivet, Peskin, Desenclos, Honegger, Telemann, Enescu, Böhme and Hummel
